Giulio Tampalini
Was
born in Brescia (Italy) in 1971. He studied with the Italian guitarist
Marco De Santi, under whose guidance was awarded a first-class Diploma
with honours at the Conservatory "Ghedini" in Cuneo in 1991. He is first
prize of some important International Guitar Competitions such as "Concorso
di Lagonegro", the International "Narciso Yepes" Guitar Competition in
Sanremo, the TIM in Roma, the "De Bonis in Cosenza, the International
Fernando Sor in Roma and the second prize (1st not allowed) at the "A.Segovia
Guitar Competition" in La Herradura (Granada). These important feats have
since granted him invitation to the most important guitar festivals and
concert seasons all over Europe and USA. He has collaborated with many
composers, some of whom has dedicated their works to him; he published
a CD with ANTES Record Company with a programme including some of the
most important Italian works written for guitar during the twentieth century
