Marlon
Titre studied guitar and composition at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague,
Holland. During his studies he received guitar lessons from Zoran Dukic,
Enno Voorhorst and Ocker Toetenel, and lessons in compostition from Roderik
de Man and Martijn Padding.
Marlon has won a number of prizes in international guitar competitions:

Composer Steve Reich called Marlons recording of his piece Electric
Counterpoint the best recording on classical guitar that he
knows.
In 2004 Marlon graduated from the Royal Conservatory for guitar and composition.
For his exam guitar he was given the exceptional mark 9,5 with distinction.
In the past years Marlon has given a number of guitar recitals in The
Netherlands, Germany, Aruba, Curaçao, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua
and Slovakia. In The Netherlands he played in concert halls as De Doelen
in Rotterdam, Vredenburg in Utrecht and Noorderkerk in Amsterdam.
Marlon has performed in radio programs and accompanied HRH the Dutch Princess
Christina in her television concert. In 2004 he was invited to perform
at the celebration concert of the 50th anniversary of the Statute of the
Royal Kingdom of The Netherlands at which he performed the Concierto de
Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo with the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra. Marlon
followed masterclasses with Pavel Steidl, Carlo Marchione, David Russell
and Dusan Bogdanovic.
As a composer, Marlons compositions have been performed by various
orchestras and ensembles and broadcasted on radio and television. During
the fall of 2003, Marlon studied for 6 weeks in Princeton, United States,
with the composer/guitarist Steve Mackey on a grant of the Dutch Foundation
of Stage Arts.
At present Marlon is a teacher at the preparatory class of the Royal Conservatory
in The Hague, and continues his studies for a Masters degree with Zoran
Dukic. At the same time he is performing extensively in Europe , especially
in Italy, invited as the first prize-winner at the International guitar
competition Michele Pittaluga 2005.
