Ever since her early recognition, Irina has performed in numerous musical festivals and solo concerts in Russia, Italy, England, Poland, Germany, Holland, Austria, Spain, Greece, Croatia and the USA. Some highlights of recent years were her appearances in the Salzburg Schloss Concerts in the Schloss Mirabell, on the Legnani-festival in Italy, in Bad-Beldenburg for Princess Benedikt and her guests, on the international guitarfestivals of Miami and Naxos and in the beautiful cathedral of Coria, Spain. Irina has the capacity of fully opening up herself for music, dragging audiences with her into a most profound and honest experience. Many of the worlds renowned guitarists that have witnessed her play agree: her musicality is of a tremendous depth. The high expectations they hold for her future have been underlined in recent years by the many invitations she received from great international guitarfestivals and by the sixteen prizes awarded to her on some of the most prestigious competitions in the world. Irina Kulikova graduated in Moscow (Gnessins Academy) and Salzburg (Mozarteum University; with honour). While continuing her work with Marco Tamayo in Austria, she currently is also studying with Carlo Marchione in Maastricht. Some other great masters she joined classes with are Kshyhtoph Peleh, John Mills, José María Gallardo del Rey, Sergio Assad, Eliot Fisk, Manuel Barrueco, Ricardo Gallen and David Russell. Irina performs as a solo-artist and with various ensembles and orchestras. She recorded her first solo CD in 2005. Since 2007 she lives and teaches in The Netherlands.
